In consideration of our artic crossing next holiday we thought we should acclimatise ourselves for a few days. I know it looks somewhat sunny and indeed it was during the day but oh dear it did get get mighty chilly in the evening.
The fire is where we spent whole lots of time. Michelle had it organised with her dressing gown and porridge. I resorted to five layers progressively building during the evening till I looked like the Michelin Man
It didn't take so long to set up the tent this time which was a blessing. Michelle and I took photo's for future instructional purposes.
We had some visitors from far and wide. Ken and Sandy turned up with his parents for a cuppa. John and Jenny from Bundaberg although they had luxury digs in Imbil. But they persisted through the night time freeze to keep us company. And Pat and Cath were wonderful company cos they bought blankets and fishing trips.
Fishing was a blast and I caught my first keeper fish. Loved it and can't wait till we go to 1770 to fish.
Anyway we all slept like babies with no TV no phones and no mail. I'm going bush more often. Martyn is going semi rural must have showers and toilets not fishing but like a rubber ducky camping.
