At the playground

Will enjoys everything which requires him to run and play. This is just some silly red thingy which they have installed with other boring playground equipment designed not to hurt your child but also not to challenge them either. Really what happened to great climbing towers, fast whirly things and dirt. Now it's all clean and safe. Boring if your not 14 months

Ooop's all wet

William got wet. See the water which has just shot up beside them. Well mummy nearly got wet to. Silly mummy

Airplanes

Sitting in the car with William talking about our day out and a trip to see airplanes he just looked so deep like he was listening to every word. Or else he was thinking more along the lines of "like I would know nana dah!!" Anyway he is smitten with the planes and they were doing all sorts of tricks and manouvers. Everytime one flew low over the field he would point and say there. It really sounded more like Dair Dair.

Kara had her hands full trying to stop william from destroying the planes and she was terrified one would start up and he would loose his fingers. Fair enough!!.

William and Pa

Poor Pa doesn't get much of a look in when nana is around so I thoght we would put Pa into the blog to prove he is still around and we haven't left him home to do the house work Again!!!

Some fun at the fete

When I eventually caught up with the boy we found a birdy in the tree which he loves to see. I actually didn't mean to put this one in here but now I don't know how to delete it so there you have it.

William having a bouncy time. we all had our hearts in our mouths as there were some hairy moments on this particular green thingy but he didn't seem to care about nearly getting jumped on and crashing into the walls. In fact he has sense of adventure something like his uncle Mark.

Running away

I am leaving and that's that so catch me
Bye Bye to William
Today we went to visit William and his parents. Yep it's all about Will. Anyway Kara had this flyer for some fete so after shovelling a half meter of soil onto the garden beds we went. William loved it since it had a jumping castle and walk ways. Since he has no energy and never runs away we let him out the pram. At which time he ran with boundless energy.
They also had a free jumping castle there which posed a real balance problem for the little lad but in spite of several falls and near catastrophe he loved it and was most upset when he had to get off to give the other kids a turn.
After that we were all hungry and we went to Northlakes to have lunch. It's just not the same anymore it's like musical chairs except we have no chairs and take it in turn to run around after the boy. He loved to play with the water fountain and managed to stand on top of one of the jets getting himself a little bath. So we had a lovely time and left him having a sleep with his mummy hopefully managing a little cat nap herself. We are back again tomorrow for a few hours before grandma comes over.

Up Chuck

Today my car received it's first thorough hosing from William. It went like this. I was taking Kara to get new tires fitted to her car at Lawnton. So watching her give William a full bottle of milk it was suggested that he should go in my car so when he fell asleep like the little angel he is we wouldn't have to move him. Good plan except as I awaited Kara's arrival at the tyre shop I heard was can only be described as a hose running. Hum I thought. I wonder where that sound came from. Then I heard a little wimper. Turning around I discovered the back seat had been turned into a pool of puke. If only I had the camera. It was HUGE. It was everywhere. To get Will out the seat I had to touch it to take of his clothes. Puddles of puke pooled into the bottom of the car seat and I despaired of what to do with a naked baby and puddle that seemed to grow. Anyway Kara arrived thought it quite funny and proceeded to do business with the tyre man. What the!!!. After half a container of wipes, one double bed sheet which is now in the bin and a number of dry reaches from me we managed to get order into the situation.
Off home we went but why we bothered I don't know since Kara had left her house keys with her car back with the tyre man.
It was a tragic day for my camry and me but worse for our poor boy who continued to dispose of his daily intake via his rear a little later in the bath. I guess that's too much information. Sorry no photos' this time.

Because

For the past few days I have missed him more than most days. Driving to work on the weekend I remembered the day the boys arrived and I gave some thought about how we didn't thank God. Because:
It was the longest most stressful pregnancy a daughter needs to have.
It didn't work the way we wanted it to
It hurt
They hurt and we couldn't help
We wanted to believe but somehow the believing didn't help

Driving to the Mater I thought how we held him, we spoke to him and we made promises that we would never forget him. In the car I was grateful because:
We all held him
We all got invited into that delivery room to share this life
We have two kids kind enough to consider their family also need to have a little bit of Christopher too
I remembered their kindness to us their family and I was grateful.
Because of that kindness thank you Kara and Dan for the memories burned into our minds of your other son. The one who doesn't get colds and coughs all night, the one who doesn't fret about night terrors. The one who God chose to lay in the arms of angels till we have the pleasure of his company again.
Remembering hurts, it brings back the tears and the pain that sometimes sits heavy on the heart but who would we be without the special memories of those we never want to forget.
Christopher I miss you baby

Shell is getting another one

Happy to see that Emma is pregnant with a Jelly bean. That makes three babies for Shell and one for me. Umm that's a bit out of balance.
It has been such a long journey for the Emma/Steve camp with the up's and downs that young people shouldn't really have to suffer but yippee the day of announcement has arrived.
We truly hope that you have a wonderful pregnancy Em and that the arrival of your baby will bring you much joy. We will follow your journey with regular updates from mum.
Congratulations..................................

Ever wondered what I do all day

It's Monday and I had the pleasure of working with Kara again at the Mothers. We spend a lot of our time bragging about our mother/daughter act. She took this photo of me sitting in my spot in front of the "machine". The only piece of machinary I actually had to read the instruction book on. I probably didn't look so happy by 10.45 when I was finished another killer shift at mum's. Back to it first thing in the morning. Love shift work

North Lakes Market (dogs) day

"Hey nan it's me again"

"Move Alfie I am gettin my nan"

Today is the second of the fresh produce farmers market day at Northlakes. Cost us about $20 to get there in petrol but the food is nice. Anyway today we made an outing of it meeting with Shell and Lyall and Lucy and Bonny. Kara and Dan and William. We shopped a little we chatted a lot and ate some yummy fat food. Much better than last time when the weather was appalling. I got my goodies early then spent a fair amount of time chasing William around the grass. Or was it him chasing me arms out ready for a nana cuddle.
Dear Shell I am sorry that we don't get enough time to chat on such social outings and I have to gabble like a chook as quickly as I can to get all the good goss in. So next time outing minus the mini extension child and we can talk ourselves hoarse.
Kara looked lovely after her spray tan so I didn't include a picture of her cos she is depressingly georgous and I thought the picture of her rear end last post was hard to beat.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Can I sleep over???

Oh so bite me I am sleeping anyway.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thursday I am beginning to have a sleep over so I can spend some time with Kara and William on my half day Friday. Well now that Dan is working from home I am witness to the 12 hours a day he spends Working????? on the computer. Anyway when Kara came home from work she was "like Dan are you coming to bed now" and I was like "yeh Dan haven't you done enough work" and this was the response I got. Nice hey. What a classy pair.
Water off a ducks back I say to them.
I stayed anyway and we had a nice morning Will and I while Kara took Sooty to the vet to sort out his bum and ear scratching and then had a spray tan. Alright for some.

Mesmerising Wiggles

Thursday I looked after William and Dan. After both refused an afternoon sleep I turned on the Wiggles after tea and it worked a treat.
