NEARLY ALL OF US

Updating the blog is not so easy when I seem to work days and days in a row but as I was looking through Kara and Dan's blog at pictures of William (again) I realised this shot has nearly all of us in it. Sorry Dan your missing. This is another of the party and as you can see we have the family in bits scattered around the room behind the party boy. Mark hasn't made my blog because we don't set eye's on him a lot lately. Must be otherwise occupied with the pretty blonde in his arms. Danika is his girlfriend of about a year now and was a welcome guest. She even bought a very yummy mars bar slice which we didn't share until the hungry hoards had gone. Anyway just wanted to share this one with you so you know that Mark is real he isn't made up and no he doesn't always look like this. He does normally have a lovely head of hair but that is another story for another blog .His!.

HUGE Day, for us all

It was a fun day to share a birthday. Happy Birthday Nana and William. How amazing to share your birthday with your Great Grandson. Means no one ever takes any notice of you ever again being as how it is all about William. But today we tried to make it about Nana too. She even got presents. Not wrapped up mind you but presents non the less.

Daddy bought balls for William to throw all around the room. Yeh for daddy. William loves his ball room thingy. He rolls in it he dives in it and he throws them all around. He even tried to get Sooty to eat them being very successful at times. Alfie (what it's his blog) had a lovely day with Sooty AGAIN. No photo's though cos were all just over them both. Although while out shopping Kara and I got very sooky over a cute little puppy!!!
Grandad and Pa made a gate while the girls played and shopped. I am sure Kara will blog them if she ever gets around to blogging again. Hint!
I love my family even the one who doesn't come around to share Birthday's no names but does cruisin give you any clues. Kara you did yourself proud and I am looking forward to Saturday and doing Williams birthday again.

Happy Birthday

Today its Williams Birthday

William arrived a little early to be called robust and just in time to be strong enough to thrive on his own. From the beginning he was the "happy place" as Kara called it. We needed him, to see, to hold and to love. She needed him to survive what was a sad sad time. In fact both Kara and Dan drew so much strength from William because today comes with the memory of his little brother Christopher Paul. Christopher never leaves our thoughts for too long because when we see William we remember he was one of two. We are so proud of how his mummy and daddy have grown as parents and support to each other. Kara is the most amazing mother with strengh of character developed through the valley which has made her a joy to her family. I am reminded of the scripture in Job "though he slay me yet will I praise Him". From a mothers point of view I thought God was trying to do just that but in midst of the trial Kara pressed in to her strength and we have seen the grace to survive which only God can bring.

William is lovely, he is clever, full of energy and loves his family. Well he actually loves anyone who will play with him including Alfie and Sooty. He's not spoiled at all!!!! Well just a little by his grandparents. William Happy Birthday our beautiful boy God only knows your a miracle and joy. We love you soooooooo much XXXXXXXXXX Nana & Pa and Alfie.

Nana and Pa's day with Will

Thursday is Will day and Sooty and Alfie day too. Today I decided we should explore Redcliffe and it's lovely waterfront so we packed up the dogs and the baby and took off with Kara's yelling instructions after us. So like a mother!! We had a lovely time and the weather was perfect. The days are so warm at the moment until the artic evenings. William had a ball chasing seagulls and splashing in the water park. Just to be clear I was at all times 2 feet behind him never was there even the remotest chance he could get carried off by some wayward oversized bird. And yes the water was above freezing, quite warm in fact and the sun shone on us during the paddle. Willliam had a ball eating chip, no not a typo it was a large chip. And paddling. He loves water and would have struck out into the deep had I let him.
These are the days that I love. Giving him new experiences of the world that is fun. He is the sunshine of my day and I loves him so much.

We Have Some Lovely Breakfast Guests

Came home from night shift to see these lovely birds having breakfast on our deck. We put the seed bell there on Friday and they seem to be loving it. Actually we have had the pleasure of this pairs company for a while now and they are getting used to us progressively getting closer each time. Funny that once the parakeets came to eat, the giant (in comparison) cockatoos moved over and were more than a little intimidated. A little like us and cockroaches. Why do we run away from them when they are so little. I wonder if that's how cockatoos view the ever so lovely parakeets. Cockroaches!
I think the pictures are making me wonder why on earth we would swap this for a view over suburbia. Think it must be Williams fault.

My mummy my brother and me

Alfie fails to get into the top 3 of my favourite people. But he is awfully close at 4.(Martyn want's to know who are 1,2,3) but he is number 1 dog anyway since it is His blog I thought I should defer to the hairy one first. Alfie was MY dog before we got him. He was an online impulse that made us all go "Ahh aint he cute let's make a purchase". On arrival he was palm of the hand size and didn't really get much bigger. Kara reckons we don't feed him and he's anorexic. Not so! Over the past two years Kara and Dan imported his sorta doggy brother who outgrew even the hulk cept he's not green as you can see by the black shape lounging next to us. But on a scale of one to ten Alfie and Sooty are 11's. Oh and Martyn's now thinks that the mate he has trailing his every move is the best doggy God ever put woof into. If you ever wanted to buy a dog that would put up with pulling, tugging, and sharing of doggy goodies from a wee baby then these are the best. William gives them a work out on their personalities regularly and they pass. Now William will make his appearance soon being as how he is really number one. Off to work for another set of night shifts.

Frantic Friday (for some)

Friday again, my master at U3A until 1400 and my mistress at work all day (putting people to sleep). So I'm home alone , so sad.
Keeping my paws crossed that someone will buy this place, love the look of that house at Northlakes

I came home to find this

Since when does Alfie have an opinion or a blog!!! Seems he does now. We are now on line all three of us. I guess that there will be more to follow in days when I don't have to get up at 5am. Please be kind to us if you leave feedback I didn't start this dog thing he did.

Change in the wind ????

They left me alone this afternoon while they looked at this house. Would be nice for me (and Will ) if we moved. Proper gardens to run and play in !!
