Just a little newsy bit about me. For those who know I had a hiccup recently after my trip for a regular mammogram. Well although the end result is good there is no "C" word involved I am now scheduled for surgery on Dec 7th. So there is a very wise saying from a very wise Jesus that reminds us that all things work together for good. There were no meltdowns this time. Yes there was a time before. But instead while awaiting the results I resolved to remain stoic and discover the good in the middle of the difficult situation .
Yes I realized first and foremost that this time it was different because of Will. See before it was all about me but this time it was all about him. I found spending time with him brought me peace and kept me so busy choosing which little car to play with there was no time to reflect. My daughter who gave me her peace and God's encouragement. Thank you Kara for letting us keep busy doing your fence. I really can't imagine what else we could have done with our time.!!!! Your ability to keep us fully focused on your place is amazing. You have a true gift of finding the right people for the right job. Beware however the handover of our place you won't see us for a long long time, unless your cooking.
Relationships sometimes get pushed to once side so I took a long look at mine and thought to myself now what would "he" do without me. Well one thing is for sure I realized it wouldn't be good nor exciting so better not leave him without me hey. More hand holding and the occasional hug have also been in order, much to his delight.
Work had already slowed down I wonder now if that had been in HIS plan already and can only assume it was. Slowing down and smelling the roses (if I could find any) is on the agenda now.
In hindsight I told the people I love who I knew would pray for me and give me words of encouragement. I waited and felt peaceful. It might not be a perfect result but as far as I am concerned it is in deed a good result.

Fishing
To Much time
This is how you know that your not making enough mess in your cabin. Back from dinner on most nights and mum and dads cabin stewart had been busy creating a variety of treats for the guests with a sense of humour. Some didn't so they never got to play the game of where the heck are my towels tonight. One made in honor of mums birthday consisted of several towels made to look like a 3 tier cake complete with heart shape chocolates and red ribbons. It was lovely

Crossing the Alps
After we picked up our motorhome we drove in a very tentative manner on the wrong side of the road on the wrong side of the car to a safety house. Well you know it was really a van park within a short distance of everything including Aldi, petrol etc. It was almost the start of our first holiday row. You know the drill. Watch out....don't tell me how to drive etc etc. Anyway we sighed with relief to get parked and work out the technical difficulties. Believe me when you know it is going to be zero at night and the doona supplied is about as thick as a kleenex working out the heater is right up there with working out the toilet.
We left rainy Germany the next day and after one more night in some unmentionable place also raining we found ourselves climbing up the Alps into the snow and some of the most unbelievably beautiful mountain scenes we have ever been privileged to witness. there was such variety from greener than lime green valleys to snow capped mountain to the skinny rocky passes. We came out on the best camp ground ever. Just a little way out of St moritz we found bliss and didn't go any further. Camping overlooking the snow capped mountains with the sun shinning. We set up our little spot took out the chairs and table and stared at it all. We even ate dinner outside just looking. Well I was a little more emotional about it than Martyn but I guess that's women and men. No i couldn't live there for one reason only. I got heart palpitations due the altitude. Could hardly walk up the hill actually but I am sure it is easily acclimatised to.

The moving house
two of us no telly, no diversions so we talked and played cards and rummycub. The only thing we did fight with was the GPS. Self rightous piece of technology I wanted to throw out the window at times.
London is sunshine
A princess castle
We saw a lot of castles while on our hols but this one shot seems to
be filled with wonder and although I can't really say which castle or
old building it really is I like. We did in fact go visit a real cinderella castle in Germany
which was so amazing I sneaked illegal shots inside. Like I was ever going to
buy the compulsory postcards in the everpresent gift shop.
Although there was a lot of old history to be found I can't say that we
were really more amazed by one place more than another. Australia is the lucky
country but not exactly the history channel is it. I will try and find the most amazing shots I have in the
album. There were some very over the top places so it will be hard.
The flowers were lovely
London began our love affair with the colours of nature in Europe. It was without doubt the one thing that was able to take our breath away. At times we had to stop ourselves taking more shots of the flora. They were to compete with our rather bland gum trees and they won us over. If only we could bring them home. London it seems is more than gray skies and even grayer buildings. It's parks are devine in spring and a treat for me who unfortunately missed the flower show at Chelsea.

Beware the holiday photos
Having just returned the dreaded holiday dilemma of who really wants to see the dreaded 1000's of photos. Cos now that we are digital we really don't have to delete to many at all. Anyway in the coming days I plan to showcase the least interesting shots of the recent budget busting trip to everywhere.
For those who know the details it was fabulous, fun, sometimes relaxing, sometimes overindulgent and mostly a wonderful experience. Loving the old buildings and some overdone churches is a pre requisite to a good time in Europe. Coping with changeable weather is another. It requires a bag full of winter summer maybe spring clothing weighing not more than 24kg. I did it by the weigh (ha) in 21kg coming back to Australia with a bag weighing less than I took. Go figure that one.
Anyway photo's coming soon. Don't say you haven't been warned.
Thanks to our friends and family who stocked our fridge, bough chocolate and mowed the lawn. Muchly appreciated

Moving Mess
This is probably the most use the dining room has had since we moved in.
My Pantry is awful with most of the shelves cleaned I'll be darned if I am going on a cleaning spree the day I move. My plan is to let the moving van out, shut the door and don't look back. Cleaned and sparkling.
Did I mention we have a distinct lack of food stuff in this home. Good job no-one is fussy about eating around here. Martyn is particularly enjoying his freedom to eat cheese and Vegemite sandwiches most every meal.
In a way I will be sad to leave this central location and no I am not looking forward to living in a place that is no my own. It has been a long time since we did that. But having said all that this house has been a blessing. I believe fully that we were led to this place to work hard enjoy and make a decent profit. We didn't go looking for a house to buy such as this but I knew our name was on it the minute I saw it's delightful dilapidated state. Our hard work and God's blessing has made us understand fully that all our plans our rubbish when there is another plan laid out to bless us if we wait.
It has bought us a piece of land which has a story. About 12 years ago we visited Greenwoods with my parents. We loved the estate and we wanted to live there but we couldn't afford it. Today we can and we can build our dreamhome. So who do we thank for that. I wonder!!!!?????

My loves
Not sad anymore
Out in the semi-rural area of cashmere. I suppose only a city dweller could call cashmere rural.
So when our house settles on the 27th we move to our new landlords house the Mclean manor for a couple of weeks then over seas. Bad timing it seems because I am sure when we booked the overseas jaunt we hadn't considered selling our home and Kara and Dan hadn't sold their home and the biggest concern I had was finding a housesitter. Hah! That was smallfry considering what we have on our plates right now. Poor Alfie is going to get passed around like a homeless waif cos I have no clue how to work this our with depending on friends and familys. So depend we will have to do.
Although it will be nice in the end the process is driving me batty. If I hyperventilate put a bag over my head apparently that helps. Paper not plastic!!!!
