Centre of my world

Here is the bestest boy in the world. He is a source of great joy and much love for our family. He constantly surprises us with his love of people of life and beside that, if that wasn't enough he is so smart. We so much enjoyed this Christmas eve and morning with him. He beats all other activities hands down

There are two other men in my life the both of them equally besotted with each other and never far apart. So here they are in their usual position. Dog sitting on man

Time at the beach

Although it was warm there was quite a wind and the waves were a little to much. Not as nice as Tangalooma so I was told. Oh well next time.
But we managed to avoid most of the stingers except for one little bugger that got Wills on the foot and sent us to the lifegaurds for vinegar (they use alumiuim sulphate spray now) and then back to the unit for heat packs.
The majority of the time we swam safely in the pool till William did his usual indiscretion and was pulled out for a clean up. It's got to be something to do with that amount of water he swallows.
I loved it a full three days unadulterated adoration for and from my bestest little boy. I love you baby baby

Kara Had a Birthday

Our little trip was to celebrate Kara's 28th birthday as well as to have a couple of days break from work. I suppose that there has to be some good come from working shift work and this is the upside. Managing the roster to pile all the days together giving me 5 days at Coolangatta. It just made sense to make it a family get away. Anyway we did have fun although there was contant checking of the windows as we were on the 18th floor. Scary really with a 2 year old. I did ask for ocean views (tick) low level !!!. Still in spite of the windy condtions and the blue bottles which washed onto the sand we made it a fun time. Willilam did have some toys but he was very pleased I think to get home and into his toy room. Here is my pathetic cake which was baked at breakneck speed the morning of our departure and consequently was feral and ended up in the waste disposal. How can you compete with the Yatala pies we bought on the way. No contest

Driving lesson 101

At night the waterfront came alive with the tacky festive season funfair. There was however a great drawcard to entice us into the extreme expense of paying up for the fun rides. Well mainly Kara and Dan paid up for the rides I only had my on the one very high and very thrill ride which I did ride but for some reason there are no photo's.
Anyhow this is the William in his first driving lesson.

What do you think he took away from all this mayhem? You might well ask. Daddy is very careful to avoid all on coming, side approaching and rear bashing collisions while mummy and nana at the wheel reckon everyone is fair game. Get on the ride and pay the price. What a laugh

Nana went swimming

Well about time for another Blog. I was just waiting for the right subject to come along and low and behold here he is. It could only be the centre of my world that would get me into the pool right now. I like bathtub warm you see and today was warmISH. But we had a ball together while his mummy pretended to be a princess on the pool chair. I thought she wore waterproof mascara but today it seemed not!!
Anyway William is a great Sish (fish) and loves the water as most kids do. It's just that he's the best you see. So we are off to the beach for a couple of days with him and his princess, I mean mummy. Can't imagine how wrinkled I will be after a week in the pool. No feedback on the wrinkled bit OK.

I Can Fix It

Does this look familiar. Well I have captured William and Pa doing quite a few jobs lately. They seem to work well together so long as Pa remembers his place. This is the apprentice working hard with great concentration putting together our new office furniture. We have moved it back upstairs and it looks great. It has been a very long time since we had decent desks to work and we both love it. Thanks William you did a fine job

Got new wheels

We got new wheels. Coming soon, before Xmas they said.
Today we went out shopping to Chermside but on the way we called in to see the new Great Wall 4WD. Test drive and buy was the order of the day. Funny really cos only last week we were talking about how affordable these new cars were and really we would like one but really we just weren't going to get one.
You'd think we were teenagers the way we change our minds. Anyway we ordered a white one and it's coming. So with all that in mind we can't wait to hook up the trailer and and travel. Yes we are making changes and it won't happen over night but it might happen during a shopping trip.

I'm Shaun the sheep

For his mummy and daddy to see he is a little shorter than when he arrived a week ago but he looks like velour now instead of a shaggy sheep. Sooty is loving his new look because he has no choice really. Anyway he is on a new diet called Eukanuba. Special for doggies who have a bear size appetite. So when he goes home it's up to mummy and daddy but he likes his new special, cost a fortune tucker. No balls for him anymore. I mean meat balls

Ticking me off

Yesterday we took Alfie and Sooty for a lovely walk. Alfie was all over the place as per normal sniffing every bush in site. On our return poor Alfie was most upset with life hiding behind the chair and in the wardrobe. Key major panic by parents of said dog. Having gone into shock with the last vet bill we determined that this time we would explore the little blighter for a tick and sure enough there it was on his eye.
Unfortunately for him the deal was done and the poison injected so in 10 minutes he was very very sick. I whispered in his ear that was not worth another $2500 so he better suck it up and get better. Fortunately for us and him he did and today is well enough to bark at the post man. Sooty was bemused by all this carry on and not in the least bit concerned for his half brothers welfare. Maybe he thought he could get rid of the competition for our affections. Anyway here we have a photo of poor Alfie wrapped in a towel to keep him warm. You cant see the hairdryer I used to blow warm air lovingly over his fragile little body. I did. !!Honest.

Views around 1770

Just took a couple of shots around the boat ramp late in the day. This is not where we stayed we were perched on the top of the hill behind the town looking down on all this beauty. The tide was out as you can see and the yacht was very much high and dry

This final shot was taken from the balcony of the house the Mcleans had rented. Lovely views 24/7. We could really get into renovating the house though and had it completly revamped in our minds before we left. The owner doesn't know what he is missing out on

I caught 2

I caught two and thought it was a hoot. Fortunately Martyn was on board with the camera to prove it. No kidding how it that for a beginner. I send out the challenge.

Lyall really caught the big one but I wanted to get in the shot to share the glory and pretend that I did but I didn't

This Dennis

Ok here we have the brag book. This is my biggest fish but not the only fish I might add. There were many along the way on our three days on the water. Day one was the best weather and calmest seas. It was also my best catching day. Can I say I caught the first decent fish or not. Is that called bragging.
It was however Lyalls catch that took out the biggest of the week I think that it was like 55". Nice real nice.
So the seas were rough on the second day when Michelle came. Bad decision she thought. She spent the day on the Princess seat eating vegemite sandwiches and downing ginger tablets. Not happy she wasn't.
But she was brave and we made it back and she till had a smile on her face. Well actually the smile was bigger when we got back.
In the trips extra curricular entertainment we saw a few sea snakes and a turtle. Flying fish and a dolpin we named something beginning with D. Like Dennis I think.
He was lovely and made my week. Love dolpins. He played with a fish we threw to him and entertained us for a few hours before swimming away. Lovely lovely creature

Michelle and Lyall

These are the photo's I took of them before they took the photo's of us.
Climbed on to the top of the rock I did and nice shot I think. Michelle was carrying on about her photo's not being nice so put in the ones that even my friend will love.

If it wasn't for you guys we wouldn't have had such a great time away. Ok we didn't so much did we but what we did was fun and loved the fishing so much. The beach was devine and collected lots of cuttlefish shell things that birds eat for Roy. Weather was super it was all good

Holiday shots

These are some of the lovely shots that Michelle and Lyall took while we did the pose. What we were actually trying for was the photographer image. Don't you think that we failed miserably. But we had a laugh trying. This beack was georgous. Only a couple of others fishing and that was it on the miles of sand. Super

M & M

This week we renovated some more. The french doors downstairs come out weeks ago and now they have been installed into the back bedroom. Mark and Martyn worked together. Since his little nose job has put Martyn in the rest home Mark was actually the worker and Martyn bothered him a lot. Since I was looking after William when all this happened and since the boys are still friends I can only assume they worked very well togther.
Anyway the beds not made and the dust isn't completly cleaned up but I was so happy and I think they are so pretty I took a photo anyway.

Bramble Patch

Michelle would say this is torment which could be the reason that I am blogging these completely stupid photo's. It was fun though to revisist a place we had been to before. In them days we stayed in sheer luxury in a cabin with a fire and breakfast included. These days when we share a holiday we freeze our tooshes off and be grateful for a hot cuppa upon rising in sub zero temps. Why? Because now we camp of course.

We found a bikie

Need a little explaination. Following posts will explain.

And the winner is

Our Warwick stop over was a treat and after careful consideration we determined that indeed the colurful octupuses garden was the winner
