Ouch. Bet that hurt

Saturday morning I decided that I couldn't stand the dusty deck any longer and it needed to be cleaned. So I got out the real deal deck cleaner stuff and scrubbed away till I was happy and needed the hose. So as you do I yelled over the balcony for the hose. First throw was a failure as was the second.
So the boy got serious like he was about the lasoo a racing stallion. Coiled up 10 feet of hose and threw it with all in his might into the air. I caught that one but then unthinkable happened and all his might seemed to have been a little more than his balance could handle. I felt this tug on the end of the hose and realised that the male had in fact thrown himself off the side of the back wall and was careering down the slope in a very ungainly manner. I did my bit and held on whilst watching the bushed being flattened. It was something like being in the jungle knowing that some large creature is following you. You can see the bush move but can't see the animal itself. So he took out several bushes and some undergrowth on his way down.
On a more serious note he did fall over the rock wall onto the stone steps and down the slope about 3m.
It could have been a disaster he could have broken some bones. But I reckon all his 10 spoons of yoghurt have paid off and his bones are rock solid. Confession: I laughed. But only so long. Once I heard him yell it's not funny I knew it was.

We dearly wanted it but it seems its not to be

This is the views from the block of land that we have on hold till the end of this month which is looming fast. It has space and breezes and views. It is high on the hill and we had plans to build a house friendly to our environment. You know catch the breezes, solar panels, water tanks under ground etc etc. But still we languish in Alderley on a hill with great views and water tanks.
So I think that the problem is not something that we can solve and I should be grateful for what I have but this time I am seriously sad cos I really want to move. I am ready but it seems my timing sucks. Well not quite as suckful as our unit in the city sucks or the house in North Lakes which started this blog sucked but it sucks enough.
So this is my testimonial to my dirt. Oh how I longed to plant you with lovely things to enhance your beauty. How how I longed to drink Chardonnay on your new house with the views and breezes and erect a play ground for our half dozen grandchildren to play in. I can hear their laughter and delight at this very moment as they can't get enough of Nana and Pa' house and its wonderful garden to run and play in.
Yeh Yeh. So its a little bit melodramatic but it's my Alfie's blog and since he can't type I'll write what I like.
I'm cheesed of so is Martyn cos now I have another renovation project about to begin.
So if you want to save him pray.

After school care

Tonight after kindy we went to the lagoon with William and Dan and Shell and Lyal and Cassidy and Isaac and Em and Will. Wow that's biggy. Well William was most excited about seeing Antie Shell. For some reason he thinks she is the ants pants.
Anyway we all had a swim in very warm water and then got out to chill in the afternoon sea breeze. It was just lovely to all sit there together and have fish and chips and SALAD as per request from Kara who hasn't been feeding William well this week. So I was asked to please give him veggies. And so I did. Lots of capsicum and some lettuce and potatoe in the form of chips.
All the kids had fun and filled up on the yummy food. Isaac can sure eat and he didn't care if was salad or chips he was into it like a champ. Loves Yellow capsicum as well now.

So we had another fun visit. On the way home we read Williams new book the scary crocodile which he loves. But all the creature that get scared by the crocodile need their mummy as far as William is concerned. I think he is going through one of those Mummy is best stages. He'll get over it>

Quading

Tuesday we went to visit Kara and William in order to invite ourselves to tea. Mainly because we don't get invited unless we invite ourselves and bring the food and drink. Is that a big enough hint.
Bet I get a comment outta that one.
We wanted to take the boy for a trip out on his Quad and ended up with the three of us running along with William flat out burning up the rubber. He is so funny that everytime he saw something interesting he just took his foot off the peddle and come to a screeching halt leaving black skid marks on the path. Kara and Martyn made a bridge which thought was a real lark. It is indeed a great hit and will preceed the more serious two wheel version which I have no doubt is a sure thing.

The Quad

This is the boy being keenly watched by Mum and Nana. In actual fact he went much faster and much further when he wasn't being filmed. Typical.

Fantasy

I like fantasy. I like that I can sit for a couple of hours put my mind in neutral and pretend. So therefore I loved Avatar. Not everyone's cuppa but for sheer brilliance in it's composition I loved it. I never get sick of good winning over bad or boy meets girl and falls in loves etc etc. I want a big birdy to fly on and a land that has cute floaty things lighting the way.
In some ways it would be nice to live in harmony with the world that we should have. To be respectful of the beauty God created and see how amazing it might have been. Pondering on scripture it says somewhere and this time of night I aint checkin where something along the lines that we haven't yet seen nor heard nor can we comprehend what God has in store for those that love Him. Anyway so our chat went along those lines after leaving the movie. It continued as we took the dogs for a walk and we both reckon if that is the best that animators can come up with so far and God can do better then heaven is looking like a whole lotta fun. Oh yeh and pretty, really pretty. With Gold flying things we can have in replacement for Alfie. Not that we want to replace Alfie of course.
Seriously though you can't really be serious about a movie where cartoons play a bigger role than people can you?
