Chan-del-ears

Forever and always is a really long time and that is how long I have waited for two things. One was the Saab which is now in my possession and I love it. Oh how I love my convertible.
And the second things that I have wanted for a weellie long time is a chan del ear. I have one. I am so exctied and LOVE IT.
You see my other light which was a cheapy but looked trendy disintegrated on my carpet a few weeks ago. Weird yes but very timely I say because just recently the Mater paid me back pay which they had been investing behind my flogged back for 6 months. So in heaven I went. The light shop and all it's crystal had me in a tizzy and this is the end result. I don't care if you don't love shiny things I do and this is very shiny

Why drums. Because she picked em!

These are the new noise makers and the parents and grandma who should know better. Mind you the nana bought them under strict instructions from the mum.

They were indeed a bargain from toys are us along with the red car which got returned today after Kristen turned up with the very same thing. Darn it!

Happy Birthday

Today was William party and Mummy made a great car cake which William and all the other kids loved just to turn their mouths blue.
There was so much food for the adults we had pancakes and bacon and eggs and sausages and lots of frothy coffee. Wlliam was fully spoilt as he should be and loves his new drums and big red car. He did have a little issue with sharing today but he'll get there. All up it was fun all round and a great pleasure to share the day with family and friends.

the dam was very pretty further up stream where we went fishing. In fact it was so lovely I could have just sat in the boat all day just dreamin'. But we had a little walk to the wall and took some happy snaps.

Camping in the artic

This week we took off to Borumba Dam. Just past Imbil in the coldest camp site on the planet.

In consideration of our artic crossing next holiday we thought we should acclimatise ourselves for a few days. I know it looks somewhat sunny and indeed it was during the day but oh dear it did get get mighty chilly in the evening.

The fire is where we spent whole lots of time. Michelle had it organised with her dressing gown and porridge. I resorted to five layers progressively building during the evening till I looked like the Michelin Man

It didn't take so long to set up the tent this time which was a blessing. Michelle and I took photo's for future instructional purposes.
We had some visitors from far and wide. Ken and Sandy turned up with his parents for a cuppa. John and Jenny from Bundaberg although they had luxury digs in Imbil. But they persisted through the night time freeze to keep us company. And Pat and Cath were wonderful company cos they bought blankets and fishing trips.
Fishing was a blast and I caught my first keeper fish. Loved it and can't wait till we go to 1770 to fish.
Anyway we all slept like babies with no TV no phones and no mail. I'm going bush more often. Martyn is going semi rural must have showers and toilets not fishing but like a rubber ducky camping.
